About

I’m a sixteen-year-old girl. Pretty typical in some respects, not so typical in others. I like music and art and I can find beauty in the strangest things.

In September 2007 I found out I was pregnant, and my whole world changed. After some serious soul-searching, I decided that for the best interests of my baby (affectionately dubbed the Maybug) I would give him or her up for adoption.

This blog is just for my general thoughts–on pregnancy, adoption, and life as a sixteen-year-old girl.

    Hi,
I saw your posting on the Baby Center site. I’m sorry to hear about the phone call from the parents you had a plan with.

It’s not too late for you to figure out a new plan, whether through attornies or agency. There are plenty of really nice hopeful adoptive families out there. We all have to go through background checks, interviews, medical exams, etc – we are good people. It will be ok.

I saw Juno the other day and am still thinking about it.

Anyway, my name is Jane and my husband and I are trying to adopt. As Juno put it, I have a “bum ovary” and I can’t have a biological child – although – we were blessed 5 years ago with our daughter Nancy. She is a great girl – you would like her – with red hair and likes arts and crafts and horses. We have fun.

My husband is a lawyer and I work part-time from home for an arts center that has theatre/chamber music/poetry. I was an English major.

We are in the state of Virginia, outside DC. Where are you?

We don’t have a website yet, but have photos, etc — if you would like to learn more please email me.

You and Maybug just hang in there. We will be praying for you!
